FAQ
How many SuperDogs are there?
Hundreds! SuperDogs are first and foremost the family pets of the cast members who perform with us and they live all over Canada and the U.S.
Are there any rescues in the SuperDogs?
Many! About 40% of the SuperDogs are rescues from the SPCA, the Humane Society and animal shelters.
Are the SuperDogs on the road year-round?
The SuperDogs do shows year-round but they aren’t on the road like a travelling circus. Wherever we perform, we try to work with cast members from the area so they can come and go from home as much as possible.
How can my dog and I join the SuperDogs?
We’re always looking for new cast members with dogs that have certain basic skills and are ready to learn new ones. If you and your dog already play dog sports, that’s a great start, like Agility, Disc, Flyball and Dock Diving. Send an email to info@superdogs.com, let us know a little about yourself and your dog and we’ll follow up with more information!
How many breeds are in the SuperDogs?
It would be hard to name a breed that hasn’t been in the SuperDogs. From Beagles to Border Collies, Pugs to Podengos, Dachshunds to Dalmatians, Koolies to Cattle Dogs, not to mention Chihuahuas, Boxers, Borzois, Vizlas, Poodles, Doodles, Schnauzers, Shih Tzus, Dobermanns, Greyhounds, Black Labs, Yellow Labs, Afghan Hounds, Ibizan Hounds, Australian Shepherds, German Shepherds, Irish Wolf Hounds, Irish Water Spaniels, Great Danes, St Bernards, Chinese Cresteds, Mexican Hairless(es?), Newfoundlands, Rottweilers, Jack Russells, Pomeranians, Scottish Terriers, Boston Terriers, Springer Spaniels, Blue Picardy Spaniels, Whippets, Bulldogs, St Bernards, Portuguese Water Dogs, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers and all sorts of marvelous mixes, and that’s just off the top of our heads!
