Triumph in Calgary at the Stampede
For ten fun-filled days, the President’s Choice® SuperDogs® gave appreciative record-breaking audiences at the Calgary Stampede exactly what they wanted – joyous, rousing entertainment for the whole family. The Stampede set a new attendance record, helped by consistently warm weather and excitement surrounding the fair’s centennial celebrations – and so did the SuperDogs® with their brand-new production, Hip Hop Hooray.
As always the SuperDogs® show resonated with creativity and innovation. At every turn something new sprang forth from what seemed an inexhaustible supply of energy from the dogs. Many of the events in the show were new, as were the props, music, and costumes. Long-time cast member Amy White stepped up to the microphone with resolute confidence and served as a charming and vivacious host during a number of performances.
But, of course, the show is really about the dogs and the hypnotic effect they have on audiences. With their boundless drive and with ineffable grace, great humour, and good cheer, the President’s Choice® SuperDogs® parlayed their talents into an unforgettable display of raucous athletic feats and side-splitting antics as they negotiated their way around the stage in the Gold Rush, X-Jumping, The Rockies, Dance Off, and Knock Out. They were mesmeric, spontaneous, and exciting – The Most Fun on Four Legs.
Next stop: Saskatoon. The President’s Choice® SuperDogs® perform in Hip Hop Hooray at the Saskatoon Exhibition from August 7 to August 12 three times daily at 4:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. Plan to attend!
